Semester Baru

Bila akhir tahun macam ni, sekolah pun mula sibuk dengan meeting itu ini sebagai perancangan untuk semester yang baru. Biasanya meeting ni akan diadakan a few days before the new semester begins demi nak mengelakkan huru-hara pada hari pertama. Dan kebiasaannya jugak, buku teks akan diedarkan dalam masa lebih kurang juga dengan harapan pelajar-pelajar dapat guna pakai secepat mungkin.. kononnya P&P berjalan seperti biasa even on the first day dan takde istilah awal-awal tahun relax tak belajar. Konon la kan.

Frankly speaking, that's kinda impossible sebab awal-awal tahun biasanya guru-guru memang sibuk menguruskan urusan yuran, kelas, pelantikan AJK Kelas and the like before everything else. Itu kalau jadi guru kelas. Kalau subject teacher pulak, it becomes their duty to prepare the students for the new semester.. almaklumlah baru lepas cuti lama, bukan senang nak get the students in the mood for learning kan. Guru-guru pun sama la kannn.. ambik masa jugak nak biasakan diri dengan (possibly) new students, plus, nak ingat balik silibus, rancang aktiviti-aktiviti yang menarik dan sebagainya.

Semalam we had our first staff meeting to prepare ourselves for 2012. Last year they gave us a Panduan Guru dalam bentuk file, which was fine except that it's bulky and not practical to be carried anywhere. This year they've decided to give it in a form of a booklet so lebih practical la except that takde index or content index kat depan. Aiyaks! Anyhu, the meeting went on and on and on for hours dan sentuh all aspects of pengurusan sekolah termasuk kurikulum dan hal ehwal murid. Bahagian kokurikulum tak sempat nak cover coz by the time our meeting ended dah pun zohor gitu. So to be continued lah. Lama betul.. nasib tak sempat mimpi-mimpi yang indah hehe

So, tahun depan I will retain my guru kelas and S/U PIBG post secara paksarela (huhu) dan jugak jadi AJK Perabot yang baru (kena buat inventori perabot untuk 3 blok T.T) dan lelain tu standard la - guru penasihat untuk kelab etc. Thank god I'm not gonna be a discipline teacher anymore coz, seriously, being serious and torturous is taxing and hard work. Betul! Not only that, I'm also quite happy with my new timetable in which I'll only teach English and PJPK, and that I only have 24 periods altogether.. which also means more relief classes for me. Boo.

Well, enough with the serious and mundane stuff and let's hope for a better year ahead.

p/s: Dah sedia ke nak tempuh tahun baru?

Wordless Wednesday - Paper Doll

Does this look familiar to you? :)

Well, it does look familiar to me. Dedulu circa 90an, paper doll cutouts ni memang menjadi pujaan ramai bebudak pompuan. Sekarang ni jangan harap nak jumpa girls main mende alah ni. In fact, nak jumpa mende alah ni pun susah. Ni pun aku dapat free beli Libresse hahaha

P/s: Oops, not that wordless anymore I guess :P

Wedding Bliss

Last week my dearest kakak (angkat) just got hitched kat Puchong. Aku happy sesangat sebab aku memang dok tunggu bila she's going to do so since macam aku ni 'langkah bendul' gitu walaupun it's totally irrelevant in our case haha.. Anyways she looked gorgeous in her baju nikah and alhamdulillah everything went well on that day. Siap nangis-nangis gitu lepas dah selesai.. dengan aku aku pun sebak sekali haha..

Some of the hantarans.. iPad2 and iPhone tu

Ok, out of curiosity kan, why do people shed tears on their wedding day aa? Terlalu gembira sampai tak terucap or ketawa gembira or sedih pasal mende lain, you know, like dah lepas dari tanggungjawab mak ayah and the like..? Ke nangis syukur coz akhirnya setelah penat bercinta akhirnya dapat gak kawen? Which one?

Asal budak tu lak yang excited? Wahaha

Salam jangan tak salam

Awwww... So sweet gitu

Apapun congrats on your wedding, sis, walaupun hanya dapat pergi majlis nikah korang. Semoga korang happy selalu dan cepat produce babies!!

Well, akhir sekali, tak lengkap kot takde gambar bersama the newlyweds kan? ;-)

P/s: Kenduri sesapa aku tak dapat pegi tu, maaflah ye~

Ucap Selamat

Belek-belek Facebook tadi tak pepasal heboh pasal tak sesuai ucap selamat untuk perayaan agama lain. Bikin confused je. Apepun thanks to my friend yang share fatwa kebangsaan tentang hal ini.

Pendekata, ucap selamat atas dasar kemasyarakatan dan hubungan sosial adalah harus asalkan kita tak terikut dengan amalan agama tersebut sekiranya bertentangan dengan agama Islam. Cakap banyak tak guna sila baca sendiri kat sini ye~

So, di kesempatan ini I'd like to wish Merry Christmas to those celebrating.. Have an awesome day with your loved ones k! And oh, happy holidays and Happy New Year too.. Ok, manyak happy aa. Ho ho ho!!

Kucing-kucingku Gangster. Eh!

These are my adorable but lazy cats, Berry and Tiger. Memang comel rasa nak gomol-gomol and buli-buli sesedap rasa. Heh. Here they're lounging around the house, almaklumlah baru lepas dari perintah berkurung. Siap buat patrol satu rumah dulu before baring-baring macam raja ni hehe..

Btw, aku sayang sangat dua ekor ni (esp. bila takde kids lagi) sebab everytime aku susah hati aku akan tengok je gelagat dorang. Dorang ni lah penghibur duka pengubat lara ewahh.. Kadang-kadang rasa untung jadi house cat ni sebab diberi free food, shelter and an endless supply of TLC. Plus, dorang takyah pikir pasal keje, anak, rumahtangga, kawan-kawan and have the right to be selfish and play all day and night long. Sampai masa tido, and start all over again the following day.

Tapi, korang nak ke jadi kucing? All play memang seronok tapi cam takde purpose in life pulak haha. Eh mana ada. Setiap makhluk yang Allah jadikan, baik manusia atau binatang, ada tujuannya.. kan? ;-)

Would It? Should I?

Been on some kind of a blogging hiatus lately. My blog activity has somehow taken a plunge in the last month or so. I'm sure some of you would notice.

Before the hols, it was because I was too occupied with work and the like. But now that it's the holidays, it seems preposterous that I don't blog at all. The thing is, I'm just too lazy to write though I do have lotsa things I wanna share here. Well, I am kind of a lazy bum anyway.. Plus, having some kind of a blogger's block doesn't help either. Not blogging in a while makes me feel sorta lost - I just dunno how and where to start.

Anywaysss, just wondering.....

Would it make any difference to the number of entries on this blog if I start writing in Malay?

Or should I blog in both Malay and English interchangeably?

Give me your 2 cents.

p/s: Btw, if you wanna keep up with me, you can find me on Twitter, to which I'm sadly addicted. Tsk.

Bye Bye Long Hair!

I finally chopped my tresses a couple of days ago after procrastinating to have it cut for a long time!  It was almost 2 years now since the last time I went for a haircut. It's kinda really really short but nicely layered so I'm kinda relieved that it turned out exactly like I wanted it to be, well, sort of. Hehe. It was really impromptu but this is like the few rare times that I'm ever satisfied with a haircut. The hairdresser was really nice and friendly. The shampoo lady was super good with her massage as well (which compensates my sorrow of seeing my hair being chopped off hehe).

LOL!
It definitely gives me a fresh and ehem, younger look. Plus, the feeling of a lighter head is just liberating. Though I still have to don the hijab, what's important is what Hubby thinks about it. I doubt that he would not be able to recognize me with short hair, after all this wasn't the first time I've ever cut my hair short. As usual, he gave me the OK after seeing it. So, yayy! (it's not like he can do anything about it eh?)

My before-and-after-haircut pic *perasan jadi Katie Holmes jap*

I walked out of the salon feeling like a new woman. A chubby new woman, that is. Heh.

Do You Remember?

Saw this meaningful quote on FB and thought I'd share it here.

How many of you actually remember any lil detail about that someone you called a friend? What they usually do when they're sad or angry or happy.. Their quirky habits.. The people they met on their last holiday.. Their least favourite colour.. anything.. Has it ever occurred to you that if you don't remember anything at all about him or her means you don't really know him or her at all and that you don't ever bother to make any effort to maintain your friendship? It doesn't have to be a lot. Every lil detail counts.

Think about it.

p/s: I just love that warm fuzzy feeling when an old friend of mine still remembers the song I loved singing when I was a kid ^^

Busy or Pretending to be Busy?

At our workplace, I guess it can't be helped if people keep saying "I'm busy" or "Sorry I can't help you coz I have something else to do" whenever we ask for this and that. And then it hit you, you saw them chatting on FB and busy tweeting. Are they really that busy or that they simply don't wanna help you?

Sometimes I wonder, what do people actually do in the office/at work? What kind of work do they do when they say they're busy with work? Do they religiously do their work all the time or do they skip doing work once in a while? Even as a teacher, a job in which a lot perceive as relaxing, it's busy, busy, busy whenever we're in school as we allllllways have things to do, be it teaching or doing administrative work. In fact, sometimes we even have to bring work home simply because we don't have enough time to finish it at work. But of course I'd be lying if I say I don't take long coffee-breaks or go on Facebook to escape from work for a lil while. Hehe.

Image from here
As mere human beings, we can't work all the time, after all we're not robots who have been programmed to do just that. But then again, even a robot needs a break - switched off, rebooted, upgraded, oiling or the like okayyyy...

So why is that whenever we do take a break (in our own way), we're labelled as lazy and unproductive? If there's one thing my family has taught me, it is not to judge the book by its cover. Just because someone is playing games on the computer, it doesn't mean he/she is not keying in some data at the same time, vice versa. I guess all we need is a diversion. A balance between work and play (the 'all work and no play makes bla bla bla' thing). After all, spending too much time on the computer can strain the eyes, eh?

I know some people do take advantage of the freedom given to them to work in the office at their own pace but under certain circumstances, there are also people who work their ass off to finish their work, assignment, project and presentation so I believe they deserve the break.

Image from here
It's really challenging to work with people who scrutinize every single thing we do - coz apparently whatever we do is never good enough for them. This is why there's a widespread of hypocrisy among workers - we tend to show what other people (our superiors, most of the time) expect us to do or be just because we don't have the liberty to show that we don't have any work to do, despite the fact that we're already done with our work. Pegi lah mana-mana office pun, it's like a big no-no to be seen not doing any work.

I find it to be suffocating, actually. How can I be myself, enjoy work and not judged at the same time? Do you face the same situation?

p/s: When work is pleasure, life is a joy. When work is duty, life is slavery.

Eid 2011 Photoshoot

*This is a pictorial entry!*

Just feel like sharing some of the best photos from our Raya photoshoot taken at Act.Studio, Seri Kembangan a few days after the first day of Eid :-) (a deal bought from MilkADeal)

As if! LOL
Bajet comel la buat cenggitu :-P
Uihhh.. muat ke mak nak masuk frame ni noks??
Hoh! Confirm muat!
Tanak kawan!!
He said I'm comel, but I said he's a bully - haha memang pun!
Caressing invisible janggut hohoho
Merahnya makngahhhh.. eh, maklong/paklong :p
Kita kawan la, ok? Ok ok :)
Me: Tembak diaaa!! Him: Alaa.. ada aku kesah? La la la.. Me: Mean! T.T
We are connected by love, bebeh!
Perasan-jadi-model-sekejap~
A for Aida, I for Ikmal, hence AidaIkmal! ;-)

Yup, seemed like a lot of fun, it was, indeed. It's just that the photographer wasn't that warm and friendly (they had just started some time in March) - luckily we memang suka bergambar so to pose bukan-bukan was not much of a prob. But of course there's still room for improvement, though!

Going Gaga over Online Deals and Coupons

More and more people opt to shop online due to its convenience and relatively cheaper prices. Like the title suggested, I am now crazeeeee over finding best online deals and coupons for everything ranging from food to spa packages. Not only it allows me to get desired products/services at satisfying prices, but it's also fun! My day would be incomplete without checking out these three websites:

Not to worry, they are reliable and trustable. In fact, I've bought and used many coupons from these websites and so far I've no problems whatsoever redeeming any, well, as long as you're aware of the terms and conditions of each deal like the expiry date, place to redeem etc. lah! Plus, it's also advisable for you to always print the voucher once you bought it so that it's there whenever you wanna redeem/use it. (Why is it so? Hari tu aku nak print time nak redeem tapi tak boleh tetiba - sadisss! T.T)

So.. let's be a smart shopper and get the most out of these deals for more savings! Jangan terlebih sudahh! :-P

p/s: Kalau ada websites on deals and coupons yang aku taktau/ter-miss, lemme know!

Wordless Wednesday - Sheer Stupidity

Stupid Altis driver! You're wasting such a valuable parking space due to your inefficiency in parking your car, making others (read: me) need to look for another - padahal the kedai I wanna go was right opposite of the parking lot! Do you know just how hard it is to find parking in that area?? Pfffttt.

I Need A Vacation!

I feel so stressed out right now. Rasa macam banyak sangat masalah yang melanda. Yang pasti, hati aku tak tenang. Not happy. Not satisfied. It hurt. Ached. And it's not supposed to be that way.. My life used to be simpler and happier!

Huwaaaa :'(
I badlyyyyyy need a vacation! I wanna be alone and go someplace where I get to forget all of my problems, especially the people who make me feel this way! So shitty and unworthy, man. Yeahhhhh... I wanna get away from everything and live my life as if I'm gonna die tomorrow! Just me, myself and I. And it's not like anyone cares anyway...

Is that even possible?? Aku pun tak tahu.

p/s: Smiling doesn't always mean you're happy. It simply means that you're a strong person.

15 Ways to help prepare your child for exams

If your children are sitting for final exams and major exams like PMR and SPM (UPSR too) soon and you're wondering how you could help, check out these tips:

1) Brain food – fish is said to be brain food. Proteins are also good. Avoid sugary and starchy food which will just put your child to sleep or make them irritable. For exam days, pack your child something not too starchy or too filling for recess. If your child is too full, she will just be sleepy for the exam papers after recess.

2) Sleep is important. There is no point staying up till 4am studying for an exam, if it makes you too sleepy to function at your best on exam day. A sleep-deprived child will not remember a lot of things he normally would. Remember, we all function best when we get sufficient sleep.

3) Revision means revise not memorise. Your child should know and understand what has been taught throughout the past few months. The time leading up to the exam is purely for revision. This is not the time to be scrambling to understand math theories. That should've been done when the teacher was teaching.

4) Make sure your child wakes up at a reasonable hour on exam days because you don't want her to rush and be in a frazzled state when she gets to school. Being frazzled won't help her with the exam. It's much better if she arrives in school in an alert yet confident state, rather than a ball of nerves.

5) Remind her to prepare her schoolbag the day before so that she's not scrambling for her 2B pencils or sharpener in the morning.

6) Teach your child to relax by doing some deep breathing exercises. It helps if she closes her eyes and relaxes just for a few minutes before the exam begins. This will help her calm down, focus better and improve her memory.

7) Remind your child that you are proud of her and it's the effort that counts. Although you want her to do well, the most important thing is for her to know that she has tried her best. Aiming for straight A's will just add undue pressure on your child and not all children can handle this type of pressure.

8) Try to boost your child's self-confidence. Tell her she can do it. And, after the exam, reinforce this. If your child says she is stupid and some other child is cleverer, remind her that she has many strengths and qualities. If she's weak at math, she may be better at science.

9) Remember, your child is the one sitting for the exam, not you. Learn to calm down and relax. Your over-anxiousness is not going to help your child score more A's. In fact, it will just make your child more stressed out and nervous.

10) Remind your child not to cheat, and to report to the teacher if someone is cheating.

11) Some children feel better if you tell them you'll be saying a special prayer for them.

12) Help your child revise what they have learnt by testing them.

13) Don't get angry and scold your child if he can't remember the answer. He's trying, and you should, too. Losing your temper will get both of you nowhere.

14) Prepare a study timetable. Let your child have a nap after returning from school so that she is fresh to revise her lessons for the exams when she wakes up. Forcing your child to study all the time with no proper rest will just be counterproductive.

15) Prepare a proper space for studying. Studying on the bed is a no-no. So is studying in front of the TV. Prepare a study room, or corner, if you can. It should be some place devoid of distractions like the TV, music and phone. It also shouldn't be a noisy area of the house. It should preferably be in a room where your child won't be distracted by siblings playing or screaming. Remove the TV, digital music player and phone from that room, if you have to.

Got the tips from here. Hope it helps!

Raya Open House

Organised my first ever open house here since I got back from Sabah/got married a couple of weeks ago, and boy, though fulfilling, it was exhausting! Some of the menu on that day were nasi ayam, soto, nasi impit and kuah kacang, and desserts. And yes, I myself cooked/prepared all those food, so you can imagine how hectic it was on that day and the day before! Anyway, I don't mind it at all coz it felt extremely good having family and friends around at our humble abode, and I'd love to do it again some time, just not that soon ha-ha..

The only pic taken on that day - tu pun after everyone else had gone back huhu..

Here I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who managed to come on that day, especially my family who came all the way from Perak for the event - I can't thank you enough. I'd also like to say sorry kalau ada apa-apa yang kurang when it comes to food and hospitality.

Mission: Open House - succeeded! :-)

Men vs. Women

Ever wonder about the difference between men and women?

"THINGY" :-
Female: Any part under a car's hood.
Male: The strap fastener on a woman's bra.

"VULNERABLE" :-
Female: Fully opening up one's self emotionally to another.
Male: Playing cricket without a box.

"COMMUNICATION" :-
Female: The sharing of thoughts and feelings with one's partner.
Male: Leaving a note before suddenly taking off for a weekend with the boys.

"BUTT" :-
Female: The body part that "looks bigger" no matter what is worn.
Male: What you slap when someone scores a try, home run, or goal. Also good for mooning.

"COMMITMENT" :-
Female: A desire to get married and raise a family.
Male: Trying not to pick up other women while out with girlfriend.

"ENTERTAINMENT" :-

Stress Management

The cares and problems of life can burden you with stress and anxiety, robbing you of peace. What do you do when you're stressed out? Below are the list of things I usually do whenever I'm stressed out or need a pick-me-up:
  1. Cook - This tops my list of things to do when I'm stressed out. I always cook when I'm stressed out. It's quite gratifying knowing I make nothing into something. Cooking takes my mind off any unpleasant things that have been bothering me.
  2. Clean- Yup, this is what I always do regardless of the time and place, but trust me, it doesn't sound as peculiar. It's quite relieving to see everything is in place actually.
  3. Pray - Praying can evaporate stress, fear, worry and even sorrow! To Allah we belong, and to Him we shall return..
  4. Listen to some music - I believe that music is therapeutic, provided that you listen to the right kind of music (calming, soothing ones), of course. But a lil dose of your favourite music wouldn't hurt either. One good thing about it is I can forget about the whole world for a moment and focus on what I hear directly in my ears instead.
  5. Blog - Sometimes, all it takes to calm a troubled soul is to pour your heart out into the open. It's one of the healthiest ways to deal with and release negative emotions!
  6. Swim - Sliding through the water always helps me clear my head. Why do I love swimming? Read here.
  7. Shop - It's amazing what a lil retail shopping can do, huh? (Good for the soul, bad for the wallet!)
  8. Eat - It's not like I'm that hungry or that my fav food makes things better. It's just that it causes enough bliss to forget how much things suck!
  9. Go for a drive - I love driving.. it makes me feel good especially if I got lotsa things in mind. Nothing's better than going for a ride with the windows down and the music up!
  10. Hang out with friends - Doing things I enjoy with people I like is a sure-fire way to help to help me refocus, relax and in control of my stress.
  11. Talk to someone - Simply talking to someone I trust, and who I feel understands, can lighten the burden I'm carrying. Well, what do they say, sharing is caring!
  12. Play with my cats - Animals are wonderful stress relievers!
  13. Shower - Words can't describe the wonderful feeling as the water hit my body. It's as if the time just stops for a while.
  14. Sleep! - Things always get better after sleeping, well, most of the time. Need I say more?
  15. Do unexpected things - What I have in mind are bungy jumping or travelling on the first plane out of town, but the one unexpected thing I always do is getting a new haircut! :p
You gotta admit that the stress of the daily grind has somehow taken its toll on our emotional, physical and social well-being. Everyone reacts differently when it comes to coping with stress, so devise a plan tailored to your own needs before things start to go drastically downhill. After all, having at least one daily stress relief habit will make a significant difference in the level of stress you feel. Whatever it is, you know you'll need real help when you look like this:

It's Official!

Nothing too extraordinary, it's just that it's confirmed that starting this week, I now teach in the morning session. The decision has been made a few weeks ago once a few teachers left school due to retirement. I don't mind it at all, really, except for the part where everything is sorta back at square one and that I have to start all over again especially when it comes to the students and syllabus, and it's already September, for God's sake!

My beban tugas has also changed. I'm now the class teacher of 4P2, a class famous for its notoriety, I dare not explain in what way. In fact, during my first encounter with them, they had really got on my nerves till I lost all my patience and senses that I mengamuk like there's no tomorrow and guess what, they turned out OK during the following lesson, in which I hope will remain the same at least until the end of the year. Now you guys know what Madam Aida is really capable of, eh? Don't play play~

Some of the perks of teacher in the morning session include balik awal (yay! itupun kalau takde meeting), no traffic jam to and fro - all thanks to my odd work hours, more time to rest in a day and to run errands like going to the bank or shopping and that it somehow fixes my sleeping troubles - I now sleep like a baby at night, even before my usual bedtime! The downside? Not being able to sleep in in the mornings!! :P

p/s: I've always been a night owl. Nocturnal, that is.

Dysmenorrhea :(

It's that time of the month again. Oh well, that simply evinces that my heartfelt desire to start a family soon is still a far cry. It's true that I don't mind being married without kids yet, but I do want some someday, but when? Takkan dah tua sok baru nak beranak kan? But it's okay coz I've always believed that Allah has better plans for us, insyallah.

Anyway, last night I got cramps all over my body especially my legs and pelvic area and this morning I got sharp, searing pain in my abdomen aka severe menstrual pain aka dysmenorrhea. According to this website, a period pain is:

"The pain that accompanies periods is caused by contractions of the uterus or womb, similar to those of another 'normal' pain women suffer - during labour. Each contraction causes the blood supply to the womb to be cut down temporarily as the blood vessels in the muscle wall are compressed. As the tissues are starved of oxygen, chemicals that trigger pain are released. At the same time the body is releasing chemicals called prostaglandins, which induce stronger contractions and which may directly cause pain in the womb. As the contractions get stronger, so the pain increases."

It really really hurt and I was clueless on what should I do about it but I hope it's nothing serious. I'm feeling much better now, all thanks to Panadol. I hardly take it in a case like this but I feel I have no choice since everything I did was to no avail. In most cases, dysmenrrhea is unfortunate, but normal, part of life for women. Nobody really knows for sure - it's just one of those annoying facts of life that doesn't seem quite fair.

p/s: Seek help if it gets worse.

Get Smurf'd!

Sapa tak pernah tengok kartun The Smurfs - a group of small blue fictional creatures kekecik dulu? Rugiiii.. coz it's really fun and funny especially the part where they're named after their dominant trait and that they use the word 'smurf' for everything! I recently watched the cartoon-turned-movie at the cinema and it was not as awesome as I thought it would be but it was OK, I guess. Just flawed.

It started off very Enchanted-ish (the movie Enchanted), where some of the smurfs were magically sent to the present day New York through a vortex when they were chased by the evil Gargamel and his equally evil-but-more-sensible ginger cat, Azrael, who destroyed their village back in their world. In NYC, they met an expecting couple named Patrick and Grace who let them stay in their apartment while they're trying to find a way to get back to their village.

As much as I could not stop laughing watching it, the story could have been better. First, it is a cartoon. And generally, cartoons are for kids, and guess what? The story is set in a grown-up world and there's no child character to introduce the magical creatures and to join the action! Still, I'm sure kids will love it anyway. Second, this story reminds me of The Sorcerer's Apprentice where there are countless encounters between the protagonists and antagonists but too much is too much - people like me want to see real action and adventure, not similar, meaningless encounters that make the story predictable and dull. Third, there's too many smurf word substitutions, which of course hilarious for most adults but not suitable for kids who tend to pick up all of these words easily, unless you don't mind your kids smurfing away, of course!

All in all, it's entertaining enough but I think that is all to it. For more info, click here.

p/s: Ucapan ini biarpun lambat, janji ada XD

Kad Raya

This is the one and only kad raya I got this year and it was from a student of mine. Frankly speaking, I haven't received any in many many years (in fact, I didn't send any in many many years too!), so I was truly flattered when he handed this to me a few days before the hols. Budak Chindian lak tu! Bukanlah nak kata apa kan.. tapi budak Melayu ada la 2 orang kot yang salam minta maaf and wished me Selamat Hari Raya. Yang lain, yillek. Kad raya apatah lagi. And it's not like I expect any.. just wondering, where have all the courtesy and respect gone??

p/s: Back then when I was young, we were made to salam all the teachers on the last day of school before raya.

p/p/s: Sekarang ni budaya ucapan raya melalui sms, e-mail, Twitter or Facebook je. Tu pun liat bebenor orang nak buat.

Iftaar at KLCC

I went out with my BFFs for iftaar at KLCC on the final week of puasa and I must say I loveee the raya deco at the centre court. There's this kampung house which gave a real raya feel.. I dunno why, but I think the best raya is the one celebrated in kampung. Stereotype. I know haha. Anyhu, semua orang berebut-rebut nak amek gambar kat situ okay - especially mat salleh. Tak pernah tengok kot. Hehe.

I know it's already raya and all but I just feel like posting this entry for keepsake :)

Salam, jangan tak salam..
Selamat Hari Raya!!

Painful Pain

I never knew that pain could be this painful :(

The ultimate pain I could have ever faced now is to stop caring about everything and everyone. I'm never good at turning my back on anything or other people without any emotional affliction or tribulation, but sometimes too much is just too much. It's really hard to suppress my feelings and pretend that everything is A-okay when some people keep hurting me, demanding me for perfection when I'm nothing close to perfect. I'm still learning and in need of guidance, not complaints and harsh criticisms. And here I thought accepting each other's imperfections is important in any relationship. Too bad not everyone sees it this way.

Well, hear me out; I DON'T GIVE A DAMN about what you say or think coz you're all talk!

p/s: You shouldn't have to sacrifice who you are just because somebody has a problem with it.

Get It Right

It seems like everything I did was wrong in your eyes..
I'm never gonna be good enough for you, am I not?

GET IT RIGHT
Glee Cast

What have I done
I wish I could run
Away from this ship going under
Just trying to help
Hurt everyone else
Now I feel the weight of the world is
On my shoulders

What can you do when your good isn't good enough
And all that you touch tumbles down
'Cuz my best intentions keep making a mess of things
I just want to fix it somehow
But how many times will it take
Oh how many times will it take for me
To get it right
To get it right

Can I start again
With my faith shaken
'Cuz I can't go back and undo this
I just have to stay
And face my mistakes
But if I get stronger and wiser
I'll get through this

What can you do when your good isn't good enough
And all that you touch tumbles down
'Cuz my best intentions keep making a mess of things
I just want to fix it somehow
But how many times will it take
But how many times will it take for me
To get it right

So I throw up my fist, throw a punch in the air
And accept the truth that sometimes life isn't fair
Yeah I sent out a wish
Yeah I sent up a prayer
Then finally someone will see how much I care

What can you do when your good isn't good enough
And all that you touch tumbles down
Oh my best intentions keep making a mess of things
I just want to fix it somehow
But how many times will it take
Oh how many times will it take
To get it right
To get it right

Iftaar @ One World Hotel

Last Saturday, we had our annual iftaar at One World Hotel with Team Kaitenaz. The Ramadhan buffet is great! There was a variety of scrumptious food, as usual, and we had a lovely and enjoyable time there (sampai restoran nak tutup!). Enjoy the pics (some are Botak's and some are mine).

Ah yess.. good old oysters - the cliche of all aphrodisiac food hohoho
Looked delicious, righttt? Memang sedap pon!
