Narnia-fied!

The latest installment of Narnia or The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader is definitely an adventure not to be missed! Awesome movie, indeed!

Here's a bit of a spoiler for all you fans: in this movie, Lucy and Edmund, all grown up, are reunited with King Caspian (from the previous movie) on a big ship called the Dawn Treader. They are also joined by their obnoxious cousin, Eustace. Together, they embark on a journey to find the 7 Lost Lords of Narnia. They make a few stops on several islands and encounter many obstacles and have to overcome alluring, enticing temptations that accompany their quest to defeat evil and banish it from Narnia once and for all.. cewahhh..

What's good about it:
- Amazing special effects and believable CGI.. esp. when you look at the animals like Aslan the lion, Reepicheep the Lion and boy-turned-dragon Eustace :D
- Eustace the cousin was annoying in the beginning, well, till he tried to steal the dragon treasure and became a dragon and gradually made up for his behaviour and became friends with the others and fought the evil forces together. Okay, I din see that one coming.. so, it was kinda cool, really.
- Eustace also provides comic relief and entertainment to this movie as he's very snappish and does not believe in fairy tales. Very amusing.
- Prince Caspian is definitely the eye candy of this movie.. so handsome and very suave! XD
- The world of Narnia is even more fascinating than before! Watch the movie and you'll be amazed at the breathtaking scenery and spectacular view of the ocean and islands.
- There are many life lessons incorporated in the movie's storyline, like be who you are, be brave and stick together in times of trouble etc. etc. so it's great for kids.

Lucy and the Dawn Treader

What's not so good about it:
- The Pevensie children are not going back/may not return to Narnia in the future! In fact, the elder siblings, Peter and Susan only made brief appearances in the current installment. Sedih beb! I cannot bear the Narnia series without the Pevensies though the books said so!
- If you're not a fan of Narnia, you better watch the previous movies to understand the current one. Kalau tak, sure blur!
- I hate the ending.. sorta a cliffhanger. You won't like it either.
- It's like Pirates of the Carribean meets Harry Potter - the voyage, the wardrobe, the sea monster, the magic, finding the seven swords and lords (the Seven Horcruxes, anyone?) yadda yadda yadda
- I only watched the 2D version but people said that there aren't many 3D effects in the 3D version anyway (except for hefty ticket prices), so, I guess it was okay. The same goes to Rapunzel.. I'd have to recommend seeing these two movies in 2D. It would've been as impressive.
- It was a bit of a snoozer at times. It was a bit flat here and there but I have no doubt that kids will enjoy it.. I did too! :)

So, yeah, I'm unconditionally and irrevocably Narnia-fied! Are you?

i would say rapunzel.. sbb kartun kan so the storyline is a whole lot simpler.. lawak pun lawak and more colourful.. siap ada nyanyi2.. i'm sure he'll be glued to the screen watching it

narnia comes second sbb ada byk mystical creatures yg will enthrall lil adam like a talking mouse, minotaur, lion etc. lepas tu ada lawan2 and nice big ship2 to keep him entertain.. unlike harry potter which is a bit more serious and darker than the previous movies.. it's not really suitable for kids his age :)
