What I Feel

I do what I like, and I like what I do. I'm an independent woman and I'm loving every minute of it. People can say whatever they want to say about me. Life sucks whenever we spend too much time trying to satisfy other people than our own needs. This may sound selfish but sometimes we have to put ourselves on top of the list before considering others. People come, and people go. After all, who can you turn to but yourself in the end?

Some people tend to find fault in others. Even when we try really hard to please them and ensure that everyone is happy, nothing seems so obvious but the mistakes that we do. In the world we're living in now, people fight over one another just to gain what they want; and most of the time it's because envy has put their minds to do unexpected and despicable things. Most of us are willing to justify what we believe in, whatever it may be. No one would ever want to admit their mistakes. Being human, sorry might seem to be the hardest word of all. Trust me, reality bites. One thing I've learnt for sure is that if you judge people, you will have no time to love them.

What You Feel by Chris Levy

Time and space, there’s a lonely place,
There’s no sound, just a heart that pounds,
Life’s unknown, where’s the way back home?
In my mind, there’s a silent cry.

What you feel, what you know,
You’re not in control,
If you just let it go,
There’s a piece you’ll know.

Got to be, something bigger than me,
How to find, just some peace of mind?
When in sight, part of you gives light.
In my mind, the same tape rewinds.

What you feel, what you know,
You’re not in control,
If you just let it go,
There’s a piece you’ll know.

Laptop Issues

Just finished reformatting my laptop in the wee hours of the morning.. Frankly speaking, I really hate doing it as it is time-consuming as well as energy-consuming. Imagine sitting for many hours in front of the damn pc just to reinstall every single programme from scratch again! And there are just sooo many softwares to be reinstalled! *sigh* But, yeah, like I have any other choice. Ha-ha. Anyway, I did try restoring my C drive using Acronis Image but it din work even after I'd tried for so many times. Nevermind, what's done is done.

One thing I'm dissatisfied with is that this is possibly my third attempt restoring my Fujitsu within less than two years time! Previously I used Twinhead for a few years and as far as I'm concerned I had only reformatted it once, right before it encountered overheating problems and started giving me constant headaches with the auto-shutdowns. But I was using XP then, not Vista. Maybe the problem now lies with Vista after all. Ha-ha. Indeed, there are numerous problems related to the latest Microsoft operating system. I dunno why but I still find Vista to be cool and very convenient. Well, let's just hope it'll get better in time, if not.. back to square one again~

P/s: Happy 25th birthday to my best bud, Faezah! May all your dreams come true this year! And congrats on your upcoming wedding! *winks*

Of teachers and teaching.

First, OMG! Second, pheeeww! After having either sleepless nights or unpeaceful sleep, it's finally over! No more flipping through the exam papers, no more messing up with numbers and finally, I could put away my red pens and sore hands, eyes and mind at rest, well at least for the time being.

Being a teacher is never easy, like most people would think. We start off very early in the morning, which I think, rectifies why we could go back earlier and have more holidays than those who're working in the private sector (ha-ha). I'm not trying to be vain here, but personally, I think, teachers are real heroes, except that we're not equipped with capes and superpowers, of course. Can normal people handle about an average of 200 students of different backgrounds and behaviours in a day? Can normal people handle 40 to 80 books or scripts to be marked each day, not to mention many more during tests and exams? Can normal people handle planning different lessons for different classes of different levels each day, each week, each month, each year?

This is why I think teachers are internally built tough, regardless the occasional laments and complaints you might hear from us. We face different challenges everyday. Sometimes, things may not go according to our plan and that we need to make decision on the spur of the moment. There will always be students who ask questions endlessly until they're fully satisfied, talk most of the time, skip school, do not hand in their work, are rude to the teachers and the list goes on. Some students fail to see that teachers are human, just like them. When they do not manage to get good results, they will be too busy blaming the teachers to notice our invisible tears and to hear our silent cries. A teacher can go into the class without teaching the students anything and still get the paycheck at the end of the month, but all of us choose to teach, to share everything, anything that we know so that somehow, somewhere, our students will grow up being someone who is useful to himself, his family, race, religion and next, his country.

I know that some may not agree as most of their students' life might not have been that comfortable with the teachers because of many reasons. But frankly speaking, the last thing that a teacher would want is to be your rival. Some may look like very rigid and strict but all they have in mind is to get you moulded into a superb shape and motivate you to become successful! Remember: “Teaching is the profession which makes any other profession”.

To my former teachers, I am here today because of you. Now I'm a teacher myself and I've learnt that teaching is not as easy as it may seem. Life, even. So, I would like to take this opportunity to wish Happy Teachers Day (belated!) to all teachers around the world, whoever and wherever you may be. A BIG THANK YOU for all your dedications and tireless efforts to educate, teach, lead and mould the children of our beloved country. May God bless all of you with the best of health, wealth, and reward you plentifully and bountifully, in this life and Hereafter for all your good deeds. Amin.~

P/s: To those who'd wished me earlier, thank you so much! You know who you are! *winks*

Go figure!

This is a list of my must-have items whenever I'm marking the exam papers! =)

1. Many cups of coffee and water.
They aid my brain to function better.
(whoaa.. it rhymes! lol)

2. A bunch of red pens.
Well, you will never know when one is gonna run out of ink, right?

3. Snacks, and plenty of them.
I enjoy munching on them when I'm doing the thinking.
It's actually unhealthy. But I dunno why I still eat the damn thing.

4. One of the most essential items ever - iPod!
Music helps me to stay focused and at the same time avoids my brain from being overworked.

5. Aspirins.
I tend to get headaches after marking a whole stack of exam scripts. No kidding!
(so, it's always good to be prepared :p)

6. Lipbalm.
Too much thinking could even make your lips go dry too! lol

Mother's Day

To my Mama, Mdm. Rohana Yahaya..

... wishing you a day as bright and wonderful as you are!

Mom,
I know I may not be the best daughter you've ever had..
Most of the times, too, we never really agree on the same things..
People say that it's because we're a lot alike, that happens.. we're as stubborn =)
But nevertheless, deep inside, I do really love you so much..
And I wanna take this opportunity to say thank you for all your love and care..
Even if it takes my whole lifetime, I'll never be able to repay it..
So, please forgive me if I've ever hurt your feelings...
All I want is for you to be happy and healthy always!
Amin..~

Cherishing You

I don't know why
And I just don't know how
One day I wake up in the middle of the night
And all I could think about is you
I then come to a realisation,
I just cannot live without you..

You mean the world to me
You are my life, my heart and soul
I just can't go on a day without a single thought of you
It's even harder to live without you within my reach, within my sight
So I pray day and night, I keep on counting every minute, every hour
for us to be together again
Your touch, and your love
they make me feel like I'm the luckiest woman on earth
So, yes, dear.. I can't wait to spend my life with you..
If you're asking me do I love you this much..
I do..
Do you love me too?
*winks*
