Life Starts At 10
Yep, it's true.. my life starts at 10 now. And I'm not talking about years/age here.
One good thing about teaching in the afternoon session is: I get to stay up late at night and sleep in the following morning! And as you've probably guessed, I wake up at 10am (buruk perangai, tapi nasiblah!) every day and I usually spend the next one hour or so doing household chores like general cleaning, doing the laundry, ironing and cooking, which is good coz I hardly had time to do that when I was 'bujang' in Sabah, except on weekends.
And since I have more time to cook, I bring packed lunch to work too. Sometimes I bring heavy food like rice or noodles, while other times I bring light lunch like sandwich or crackers. Bagus tak? I mean, in this day and age, you have to save money in every way possible and one of the best ways to save money is go bring your lunch with you! It's healthier and less expensive too! This is definitely one of my money resolutions for this year - even if I can't do so every day, I'll try to bring lunch to work more often. Assuming that an average lunch costs RM5, it'll cost you about RM1050 in a year (RM5x210 school days, give or take) if I eat out every day. Looks like a big figure when you add it all up, doesn't it? Just wondering, what do you usually bring to work for lunch (if you do so)?
Also, I get more time to get ready for work! I really take my time to shower, get dressed and do my make-up now. Kalau awal pagi tu haruslah kelam kabut! I now get compliments from my colleagues on my eye make-up (nothing much, just bright eye shadow and eye liner).. siap mintak tips lagi! Ha-ha.
The bad thing? Like I mentioned in my previous post, topping the list is daily exhaustion (work + traffic jam). I mean, by the time I reach home it's already Maghrib and as opposed to being able to stay up late, I usually retire early every night! Also, I now have less time and energy to socialise - no more afternoon lepak or dinner and movie dates with friends. Nak melawat Isabelle baru bersalin pun tak sempat! I now have to go to school in the morning not only on Wednesdays but also Thursdays! We also have meetings on Saturdays (like last week and this week), well, not every Saturday but from time to time, we do :(
So, yeah, so much for starting my life at 10am.
