Mistakes Breed Success
Just as Rome was not built in one day, success is not free and does not come easy as there is a price to pay, but it's worth the effort. Wouldn't it be nice if it does? Unfortunately, it's not. It takes consistency, determination, perseverance, willpower and WORK. Whatever you do, you've got to work for it and earn it. As George Bernard Shaw once said, "Success does not consist in never making mistakes but in never making the same one a second time." The main point here is, we must learn from our mistakes and the mistakes of others, and make experience our best teacher. Mistakes and experiences teach us more than our triumphs, IF we're willing to learn. The more we learn, the wiser we become.
Even so, there are people who go out of their way to avoid risk and fear of making mistakes. Well, don't. Okay, I know that some don't like failing.. but, listen - we make mistakes because we're human, and being so, we aren't perfect. To surrender before you even begin is a cowardly act. The founder of IKEA, Ingvar Kamprad once said that "only those who are asleep make no mistakes." Are you asleep?? Wake up now!! Learn and understand the fact that life has its downturns. We need to endure the hardships of the bad times in order to eventually reach the good ones. Do not be bitter over life's disappointments as it's a sign telling us we've got to change and improve ourselves or risk losing everything that we hold dear. Without it, how would we know what we need to work on?
It's a long hard road to success, unless you're willing to try to overcome whatever obstacles you encounter on your way there. Stay focused and be realistic. The choice is in your hands.
p/s: So, my dear students, now I hope you'd be able to understand the reasons behind all those homework, exams, tests, projects, presentations and my constant nagging =)
